Light and fast handling this 20 Gage Coach Gun
Description: Light and fast handling this 20 Gage Coach Gun is perfect for Cowboy action Shooting and Old West Re-enacting the Wild West. Stagecoach companies implemented the use of guards to ride along side the driver carrying a weapon that allowed for some leeway in accuracy as they bounced along the bumpy trails. Cut-down versions of the Stagecoach Shotgun were also popular among Marshals and Sheriffs for their mobility and lenient accuracy at close quarters. The best feature of this gun is the beautiful “Fine Damascus” brown patina on the 20 inch / 20 Ga. double barrels. The wood has one crack that runs from the tang to the left lock plate. It does not effect the stability of the stock in the least. Other than that it has no dings, cracks, or brakes. It is obvious that care was taken when wiping down the bores. Thumb the locking lever and you can break open the gun to reveal the lead-spitting barrels of this close-quarters defense weapon. The barrels show no pitting, only a bright shining bore. Close and lock the barrels and cock both hammers. Finger the double triggers one at a time and the hammers will fall. On the plains of the late 19th century there was nothing else like the sound of a shotgun hammer. The feel and action of this legendary Old West tool will transport you back to the Dakota Territory, when your trusty shotgun was your last and best line of defense. Features Overall Length: 36 1/2", with 20 inches barrels and 2 3/4 inch chambers. Lock up is very very tight and secure. The hard rubber butt plate has turned to a nice brown and shows an old repair with one small piece missing but the checkering is still clean and crisp, and the stock show very little wear for its age. Marked on both lock plates is the name ECLIPSE COMPANY. This Coach Gun is in great shape. Great for cowboy loads or blanks. This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you in the USA and INTERNATIONALLY. Adult signature required. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first. Price: $1,095.00 Buy Now Contact Seller |
