Antique Parker Bros Shotgun 12 Gauge

Description:
Antique Parker Brothers grade 2. Great as a collector's item or it can be used with black powder rounds.   Action functions well. The bore needs a little work. The barrels have scuffs, scratches, and surface erosion.   Barrels are 30" Damascus steel.    Barrel wall thickness at the thinnest point is 0.030" (±0.005" margin). Chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch, black powder. No apparent modification to the chamber.   The receiver has turned to a nice brown patina and you can make out most of the scroll and boarder engraving as well as some game scenes. Manufacturer and serial engravings remain clearly legible.   The wood condition is considered poor (buttstock) and fair (foregrip). The stock was broken, but a recent repair has some imbedded reinforcement screws (no plates). Dent and chips in the pistol grip have been filled with epoxy. Some of the previously barely noticable checkering has been redone by hand and stylized. Pictures coming soon.  Has the original Parker Brothers marked, stylized hard rubber butt plate with the dog's head emblem.   Length of Pull: 14.5" to the front trigger   Left hammer is an old replacement, but it isn't readily noticeable.   Barrel is marked "PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL."   Matching numbers on receiver, barrels, forend and most other parts (except the left hammer).   Functions like it should. Has a nice antiqued rugged look to it.   Asking $900 OBO. Shipping included at no extra cost.
