Winchester Model 1906 Custom Built by Dave Talley, Winchester Custom Shop Gunsmith

Description:
This Model 1906 Winchester rifle was completely rebuilt by Dave Talley.  Dave is a recipient of the American Custom Gunmaker's Guild Lifetime Award.  Dave also worked for the Winchester Custom Shop fo 17 years as a custom gunsmith.  He is the founder of Talley Mfg in SC. 
The original gun was made in 1911 and Dave completely reworked the action and color case hardened the action and Buttplate.  He put a Douglas XX Air gauged barrel of 25 1/4 inches with a match chamber.  The top flat is matted and the octagon barrel is stamped with the Winchester stamp.  It has a new plain Walnut stock and forearm.  It is fitted with a Lyman combination "Beech" front sight and a Marbles Flexible rear post sight.  The barrel and magazine tube is rust blued.  This is the very last custom gun that Dave will make.  It is unfired and as new.   Dave passed away early this year.
