Winchester Model 1886 Special Order Rifle Cal. 33 WCF made 1911
Description: ********* SOLD PENDING FUNDS RANDY IN TX ********* Winchester Model 1886 rifle in the hard-hitting 33 WCF caliber. Serial number 150470 puts production at 1911. The typical 33 rifle had a 1/2 magazine and shotgun butt with rubber butt plate. This rifle was specially-ordered with a full magazine and rifle style crescent steel butt plate; there are matching assembly numbers in a few locations. All other features are standard - 24" round lightweight barrel with ramped front sight, solid frame, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, blued finish. Condition: Barrel and mag tube retain 75% fine aged blue with some loss on the top of the barrel from the mag tube band forward due to some sort of contact with chemicals. Receiver retains 40% flaked original blue with almost all the blue on the upper tang having once been protected by a now-missing tang sight. Action is smooth with a properly working 1/2 cock safety. Bore in the nickel steel is excellent, bright and shiny with no pitting, no rings, no bulges, a 9 of 10. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Stocks show typical nicks and dings from use. Butt stock has a tightly repaired split just above the toe about 2" long. I have fired the rifle to test for function and to make sure the split didn't open; all is well on all counts. An honest special order example of one of the most popular Winchester models produced. Terms: Must ship to FFL dealer or C&R licensee. New York State buyers must have the item ship to an FFL dealer only, no C&R. 3 day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays return shipping. Payment by personal check, bank check, or USPS money order only, sorry no credit cards, no electronic payments. Packed with great care to survive the trip. Ships by FedEx Ground.
