I believe that this rifle has not been fired....if it has , I cannot tell.. It is in perfect condition, with all paper work for the rifle, and the scope that was purchased with the rifle. the scope has never been out of the box. The rifle came with a factory scope mount ( included ) , but has never been mounted. All of this was purchased from Sears and Robuck a very long time ago.... I believe it to be near the beginning of Universal carbine production. In any case, all components are like new ! Thank you for looking, Questions welcome.
