Description:
The Sharps 1852/1859 falling block carbines were very popular with troops on both sides of the American Civil War. They were percussion breech-loading rifles, that were reliable, and easy to reload. These rifles were often rechambered for use with metallic cartridges after the war and became the buffalo rifles of the Great Plains. The Armi Sport Sharps, imported by Chiappa, is a faithful reproduction of a cartridge gun, chambered in the popular .45-70 Government. They are finished with a blued barrel, and case-color receiver and furniture. This one is in excellent condition and doesn't appear to have been fired much. .45-70 Government
