This is a nice example of the Remington Rolling-Block Cadet Rifle in .50-45 CF. It is 1 of 1000 built from surplus 1867 Navy pistol frames. It has a 28" barrel with shootable bore. Metal has a plumb brown patina. The mainspring is weak. Someone flattened down tip of firing pin. A new firing pin is easy fabricated. Wood is in good plus antique condition with neat arsenal repairs on both sides of forestock near receiver. Length of pull is 13.25". Cases can be made from shortened. 50-70 cases. A great addition to any collection of American martial arms. $800 + Shipping.
