Fine Quality Hardware M1 Carbine as Issued

Description:
This beautiful Quality Hardware M1 Carbine with serial number 4779235 sports a Winchester barrel. Quality Hardware only used a small number of Winchester barrels in this serial number range. The muzzle measures 1 on my NDZ gage. It has a correct unmarked barrel band with a wide swivel. The gun shows very little use. All of the parts are correct for this serial number range, including a blued round EM-Q marked bolt, GE-Q flip sight, PO Q front sight, Q-TX trigger housing with all Quality Hardware internal parts. The low wood stock is marked Q-RMC in the sling well and has some beautiful figuring of the butt area. M1 Carbine author Roger Larson comments that late 4 million serial number Quality Hardware carbines with low wood stocks are rare. The type 3 recoil plate is marked RO-Q. The hand guard is a 2 rivet with a correct RSG mark, used by Quality Hardware in this serial number range. This is a fine rare and collectable M1 Carbine.
