BROWNING FN TROMBONE -  Serial #69W599
Description - Belgium mfg. in 1969.  FN marked .22L cal. with 19" barrel length not the common 22". 
Factory step adjustable rear sight and dovetailed front sight with bead. 
French Walnut stock and grooved forearm, both with nice grain pattern with color streaks. 
Condition -  No marks, dings or damage to wood or the finish.  
Bluing is excellent with very slight wear on the slide tube. 
Bore is clean and bright with no corrosion. 
Over-all condition is excellent to new. 
Additional Information - Trombone  #69W599 was mfg. in 1969, one year before Browning began to import the Trombone in 1970 to the US with 70W serial numbers. 
It is about impossible to get information from FN, let alone Browning as to why the barrel length is 19".   
Here are the possibilities.  #1 - Right from FN factory.  #2 - Work done at the Browning service department.  #3 - Work done by a professional gunsmith.     
This is a unique Trombone.  It may have been an experiment with the idea of making a carbine style Trombone.
