Description:
An Early 1840's To1850's "Remington Marked" Percussion Underhammer Long Rifle In Excellent Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The rifle has excellent metal, markings, and edges throughout. The barrel on the rifle is half round and half octagon & has excellent flats & edges. It retains all of its original factory brown on it. The barrel measures 40 1/2 inched long. It is clearly marked "REMINGTON" on the flat on the right side above the hammer. All of the brass hardware on it is fine and untouched throughout. The hammer retains it darkening case colors on it. All of the wood on the rifle is excellent throughout with a wonderful grain and color to it. The rifled bore is excellent, and it has its original ramrod in it. It is in .58 caliber & has an excellent action. The entire Gun is 57 inches in length. This Is A Very High Condition Example Of An Early 1840's To1850's "Remington Marked" Percussion Underhammer Long Rifle That Would Be A Fine Addition To Any Collection!
