Smith & Wesson 38/44 Heavy Duty, chambered in .38 S&W Spl. Features include: double action revolver built on the larger square butt N 5 screw frame, 6 shot, 3.5 in. round pinned barrel, nickel finish, 41 oz. This pistol appears to have been modified with the barrel being cut down to 3.5 inches and a different front sight put on. Grips have also been changed out from the wood to a mother of pearl. Bore has good groves and is clean. Age is showing on the finish, mostly around the barrel, due to the front sight replacement it would seem. Mechanically the pistol is sound and the cylinder functions correctly. .38 S&W Special
