Description:
The Ruger Blackhawk revolver was a descendant of the Ruger Single-Six revolver, which was developed in 1953 after Colt discontinued the Single Action Army, leaving behind a gap in Western cowboy-style revolvers. The Blackhawk arrived in 1955, originally in .357 Magnum and soon chambered in .44 Remington Magnum as it arrived on the market. In 1973, the New Model Blackhawk was introduced with a transfer bar safety mechanism, which helps to prevent accidental discharges from the thumb slipping off the hammer or dropping the firearm with a fully-loaded cylinder. This particular gun, from 2013, is in like-new condition. There is little or no wear visible anywhere on the steel or grip panels, and the bore is clean and bright. If the previous owner ever fired it at all it was not much. It includes the original plastic case, user manual, test-fire casing, and cable lock. .357 Mag
