The Ruger Blackhawk was introduced in 1955 as a modern, stronger, and more affordable alternative to the Colt Single Action Army revolver, which was discontinued in the early 1940's. It has since become one of the most popular single action guns on the market. This .357 Magnum example is from the year 1970 and is in really nice shape considering its age. There is very little sign of holster wear, the blue finish is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, there is some slight damage to the front sight, as can be seen in the photo. The gun has been fitted with oversized aftermarket wooden grip panels. The action is smooth, lockup is tight, and the bore looks clean and bright. There is no box or case included. .357 Mag
