Standard configuration Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket pistol manufactured in 1909, serial number 19615, chambered in .25 ACP with 2-inch barrel, blued finish and fixed sights. Left side of matching slide marked "COLT'S PT F.A. MFG CO HARTFORD CT U.S.A" with patent dates "PATENTED AUG.25.1896.APR.20.1897.DEC.22.1903" and serial number "19615" on the frame. Right side of slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC" and "CALIBRE .25" markings. Fitted with black checkered hard rubber grips featuring "COLT" marking and rampant Colt logo medallion. Accompanied by dual tone steel magazine marked "CAL .25 / COLT" with six-round single column capacity and visible follower. Designed by John Moses Browning, this pistol is representative of the approximately 409,061 Model 1908 pistols manufactured during its 40-year production run.
Condition:
G/VG original Colt prewar factory finish with considerable fading and a few areas of cleaned oxidation, particularly on the slide, left crest. Grip safety nearly faded to grey. VG grips with blunted checkering and a few handling marks but no cracks or significant losses. Comparable or better condition dual tone magazine. Dull bore. Correct manual mechanics.
