Description:
Standard configuration Colt Government Model .45 caliber pistol, factory nickel finish, made 1959, marked as a Government Model with caliber and the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide and single line address on the right side of the slide above full SN on the right side of the frame. Fixed serrated front and drift adjustable rear sights. Trigger and flat hammer with serrated surfaces. Replacement wood checkered grips, original Coltwood grips supplied. Nickeled magazine with 5 indicator holes and fixed floorplate marked with the Rampant Colt followed by COLT .45 AUTO
Condition:
Wonderful 98-99% bright factory nickel finish, a small flake missing from the left side of the slide and a few fine handling marks elsewhere. Frontstrap, grip safety, and arched magazine housing in the same condition. Inspection markings on left and right side of trigger guard, clearly breaking through the matte finish in those areas. Comparable or better condition wood checkered grips (replacements) and magazine. Mirror bore, perfect manual mechanics. Complete with the original Coltwood grips, the left panel having warped and shrunken, the top screw hole vertically elongated and cracking through to the edge. The right panel is excellent. A great-looking Colt Government Model in .45ACP, factory nickel, from 1959!
