Originally designed by John M Browning, the Colt Woodsman 22 caliber pistol was the first successful rimfire semi automatic 22 caliber pistol.  In 1911, Browning sold his patent to Colt and they started production in 1915 through 1977.  This particular model is the sport variation of the third model, being the only model with fully adjustable rear sight and were in production fom 1960 through 1977, 4 1/2 inch barrel with a serrated ramped front sight with adjustable rear sight.  The bore is bright and shiny with crisp rifling, exquisite factory blueing and very clear markings.  The slide is smooth and has serrations on both sides with colt logo on left side.  Left side thumb safety located above the pistol grip and magazine drop is located at the back of the magazine well.  Two piece, solid walnut sport pistol grips are in like new condition with checkering on both sides and left side thumb rest and a beautiful patina and gloss finish.  While considered a 'vintage' extremely poplular and sought after pistol, this Colt Woodsman is in like new condition and has been meticulously maintained.  Also inclues one original magazine
