Below the circle of stars is the US shield at the center of a panoply of flags with crossed cannons and a Corinthian helmet
Design is on both sides
9 1/4" x 4 1/4" dimensions
Adjustable brass spout and cap are alson in good condition
Cap marked N.P. Ames and 1838 date
Just below neck on both sides are string keeper mounts
Very collectible flask of the early 1800s
Above and below hands on each side is the faint inscription of what appears to be WH over SH on one side and WH over JHR
